Mystery of the Fossils

Mystery of the Fossils brings together ancient Pokémon, ghostly artwork, and the three legendary birds. Gengar and Dragonite are especially appealing starting points, while Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres give the set another ready-made trio to hunt. Despite its name, this is just as much a showcase for memorable Kanto favorites as it is for Aerodactyl and Kabutops.

Set fact: Mew is part of the Japanese expansion, but it is absent from the English Fossil checklist. That is an easy detail to miss when using an English set list to shop for Japanese cards.
